Overview

Ph.D. Search and Selection are experts at the discreet hiring of management consultancy staff, from consultant to partner level.  In this section, you will find the necessary requirements that need to be fulfilled for each respective grade:

Partner

You are an industry expert who is currently a partner or equivalent within a Big 4 Accountancy Firm, Big Five management consultancy, a top-tier software house, a medium-sized accountancy or risk organisation, a leading computer manufacturer or other blue-chip organisation. If you are not currently within a big 4 you must have experience at a top-tier management consultancy.  You have exceptional connections at board level and have built deep relationships throughout your career across the various accounts you have managed.  You will also have a proven track record of delivering £3m+ revenues from your client accounts and running a practice of 10+ consultants.

Directors

You are currently a senior manager looking for promotion, or a director or vice president whose route to partner level is blocked at your current organisation. You will be an industry expert who is currently at a Big 4 Accountancy Firm, Big Five management consultancy, a top-tier software house, a medium-sized accountancy or risk organisation, a leading computer manufacturer or other blue-chip organisation. You also have a proven track record of delivering £1m+ revenues from your client accounts and running a team of 5+ consultants.  Our hiring process for director level positions looks at the candidate’s ability to make partner within a given timescale.  The process is a tough one; only the best will succeed in what is a serious test of character and commitment.

Senior Managers

You are an experienced management consultant, who consistently delivers results within your field of expertise and seeks change or promotion. You have at least four years management consultancy experience within a blue-chip organisation and a first-class degree from a traditional university or an equivalent qualification. You earn a base salary in excess of £75K and your assessments are above average.

Consultant

You are currently working for a top-tier consultancy or a leading software house or computer manufacturer.  You have at least two years of experience and want to take your career to the next stage.  You have a first-class degree from a traditional university or an equivalent qualification.  You may also have a post-graduate qualification in accountancy and some practice experience.  You will be seeking to develop a long term career within change management in a consultancy environment.
